Whitney began dancing at the age of two and it was dance that led her into her main passion in life – fitness. Throughout her dance career Whitney competed in National and International competitions, was a member and choreographer for the Queen’s University Dance Club and holds an international certification to teach Tap, Jazz/Modern and Ballet with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing.

Her passion for dance led her to start teaching fitness classes when she was a teenager. She began teaching at Queen’s University and a variety of other local Kingston gyms. Whitney went on to take a position after graduating from Queen’s as a program coordinator for the Queen’s Executive Development Centre. In her five years, she helped create and develop the fitness and lifestyle program; presenting, teaching and coaching executives on the benefits of improving their health and fitness.

Whitney has dedicated herself to constantly improving her knowledge base and is certified as a fitness nutrition specialist with the ISSA and certified as a level 1 Precision Nutrition Coach.  In 2009 Whitney studied under Margot McKinnon at Body Harmonics Pilates, learning how reformer training could benefit both clientele looking to improve their fitness and/or rehabilitate from an injury. Whitney is a level one certified FST (Fascial Stretch Therapist) certified through Stretch to Win and offers customized stretch sessions to help her clients alleviate pain due to injury or restricted movement. Whitney offers private & semi-private personal training sessions for all levels of fitness as well as for clients who are working on a rehabilitation plan post injury in our physiotherapy clinic. Personal training sessions include options ranging from boxing, reformer pilates, TRX training, beginner to advanced kettlebell training, steel mace training, assisted stretching and fat loss training.

Vanessa is originally from Timmins, a Northern Ontario town where people value family, friends, the outdoors, hockey and, her personal favourite, curling.

Vanessa has a degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and a Master’s in Anatomical Sciences from Queen’s University. The Master’s program incorporated graduate level courses in human anatomy, principles of teaching, micro teaching and a thesis project. The practicum of the Master’s focused on gaining knowledge and experience in teaching anatomical disciplines and curriculum design to undergraduate and graduate students.

Vanessa is a faculty member at St. Lawrence College and an active Mom who is passionate about helping women make time for their fitness. She is the catalyst and program lead behind the Strong as a Mother program at TT.

Vanessa believes that being different gives you confidence to utilize your unique qualities, but the most important is to be passionate because without passion you’ll have no drive or dedication to achieve any personal goals you try to accomplish.

Cassie received her Master’s in Physical Therapy as well as her Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from Queen’s University. While at school, she was heavily involved with university level athletics, working as a student therapist with the Royal Military College men’s varsity hockey and basketball teams.  Since that time, Cassie has continued to work with both recreational and competitive athletes, working closely with Queen’s University varsity teams, as well as provincial and nationally competitive strength athletes, and members of the OJHL.  Cassie also spent time working in a hospital where she worked closely with post-operative patients who were rehabilitating from a variety of both orthopedic and medical operations.

Since graduating, Cassie has dedicated herself to continuing education, attending numerous fitness conferences, functional rehabilitation workshops, as well as courses in soft tissue release, manual therapy and a variety of other assessment and treatment techniques.

Cassie works very closely with the coaching team at Taylored Training, revolutionizing traditional physiotherapy. The key to successful treatment is the integration of physiotherapy with improved physical fitness, allowing clients to succeed in achieving long-term success.

Annabelle McNutt

Annabelle graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelors of Kinesiology (in 2013) and a Master's of Physical Therapy (in 2016).  Having worked in both Ontario and Calgary in busy private clinics Annabelle recently relocated back to Kingston to settle down near family with her husband and one year old son.  Her interest in PT started as a competitive dancer and personally experiencing the negative emotions that accompany injury and functional impairments (Injuries SUCK!).  Annabelle is certified in Kinesiotaping, Soft Tissue Release, Acupuncture/Dry Needling, and Neurokinetic Therapy (Level 1) and is excited to be taking her certifications in pelvic floor physiotherapy this fall. She has always been very keen on this area of practice and she is extremely passionate about ending the stigma behind talking about sexual health, bladder/bowel function, and the wellbeing of our "private parts". After having a baby herself and really getting to experience everything first hand, she felt like it was the perfect time to start treatment of pelvic health.  Annabelle loves to be active as much as she can- chasing after her busy baby and Barre are some of her favourite activities these days!
